A nine-step booking flow, and only one

Your clients book on their own, at any hour, and know the price before committing.

In short

  • The flow has 9 steps — 8 for a school with a single activity: activity, number of courses, level, participants, date, session, summary, contact details, payment.
  • The rate appears at the second step, before any commitment, and it is the same one charged at the counter.
  • There is only one flow in the whole application: a link to a specific course enters it pre-filled, basket included.
First step of the booking flow: choosing the activity, with the nine-step progress bar

Why only one flow

The app used to have two booking paths. Waivers, participants, emergency contact and payment, all built twice — and above all two possible prices for the same course, one of the paths applying no scale at all.

The second was removed. A visitor clicking “Book” from the schedule enters the same flow, with the activity, level, day and course already in their basket. They start nothing over.

What each step asks, and why

The order is not decorative: it runs from the most structuring to the most personal. The number of courses comes early because it sets the rate — so the client knows what they will pay before picking any slot.

  • The level filters the sessions offered; it does not hide courses from the schedule
  • Participants carry their identity, age and, where needed, medical information
  • The summary shows the price breakdown before the payment page
  • A progress bar always shows the current step

What gets settled without leaving the flow

A full course offers the waiting list instead of a dead end. Waivers to sign appear inside the flow, including those for a minor. Payment is by card via Stripe, or later by a link if the school prefers to collect another way.

A course whose time is not fixed yet shows its day and the school's message — never an invented hour.

Frequently asked

Does a client need an account to book?

The flow runs without an account up to the participants step; the account is created after that, and the basket is kept through sign-in.

What happens when a course is full?

The flow offers the waiting list. When a spot frees up, it is offered automatically.
