One screen per day to cash up: cash to count, the card terminal to reconcile, cheques to bank, online payments on their own.
Adding an online card payment to a €50 note gives an exact total, but a useless one at closing time: you do not check one the way you check the other. The day's takings are therefore sorted by where the money is.
- The cash drawer first: the only one counted by hand
- The card terminal, to reconcile with its receipt
- Cheques and holiday vouchers, to take to the bank
- Online payments, which are not counted
- An unknown method goes to “To check”, never into cash
The screen is reserved for administrators with the finance permission: the school's revenue is not shown to others.
